What does a Massage Treatment involve?

A Massage Treatment begins with a consultation during which the Therapist asks the client a series of questions about how they are feeling and about their medical history and any medical conditions they may have.

This is an opportunity for the therapist to ensure that there are no reasons why it would not be adviseable for the client to have a massage that day and also if the therapist should avoid or concentrate on any particular parts of the body.

If all is well, the massage therapist will then invite the client to make themselves comfortable on the therapy couch.

The actual massage will vary according to the reason for and clients preference.

Following the massage itself, the therapist will invite the client to get up slowly when they feel ready to do so and to drink a glass of water whilst giving some homecare advice.

The therapist may also ask for feedback about the treatment and answer any questions you may have.
